This session will cover State and Federal financial aid updates for counseling students applying for aid in the 2020-2021 academic year. In addition, the session will focus on the FAFSA filing process to include the Mobile App, how to request the FSAID, Dependency Status, unusual student/family circumstances and much more. Additionally, we will discuss best practices for when and how to counsel students and families on how to pay for college.

OACAC’s Virtual College Exploration for Ohio Students
Starting next week, OACAC is kicking off our “Virtual College Exploration for All Ohio Students” in partnership with StriveScan. This program features dozens of panel presentations and hundreds of college information sessions that will replace all OACAC-sponsored college fairs this fall. Learn about the incredible wealth of information that will be offered and why school counselors should encourage your students to participate.
When in-person college fairs can resume, OACAC will also be utilizing StriveScan’s technology for student barcode scanning.
