To all students, counselors, families, and allies,

Thank you for attending NJACAC’s second annual LGBTQ+ College Fair. NJACAC has organized college fairs and college readiness events for decades, and we wanted to bring back this safer space for LGBTQ+ students to freely ask the questions that are most important to them:

Will I fit in at this institution? Can I see myself as a student there? Will I matter?

Each school participating in this fair has taken an active step in building their LGBTQ+ communities and they have acknowledged wanting to create an inclusive campus environment.  Additionally, we have utilized the Campus Pride Index to showcase an objective rating as to where the policies of each institution fall in terms of LGBTQ+ friendliness. The Campus Pride Index is always a good place to start but it should not be the only place you look.

During the fair sessions, please ask questions. Take this time to explore and ask the representatives about the experiences you hope to have. Share your concerns about the barriers you may face. Follow up with the representatives after this event and if you are able, go see those campuses you liked in person. We hope after this event, you are one step closer to obtaining what every student hopes to find in a college; the best fit for you.

LGBTQ-Friendly Campus Pride Index

Next to each institution’s name, we have listed their LGBTQ-Friendly Campus Pride Index score, if the school has one–not all do. For example, 4.5/5.

Campus Pride is an outside non-profit organization working to create safer, more LGBTQ-friendly learning environments at colleges and universities.

How do I join the webinar?

First, register for each session you want to attend.

Once you register, you’ll receive a confirmation email with your personalized link to join the Zoom Webinar.

Yes. Sessions will be recorded and available on this page within a week after the program concludes.

We encourage you to participate live so you can ask questions and interact with the college admission counselors.
